I don't know if I like this or not.... Posted by Hello

This is a fun one. I really like the way the colors turned out here. I love simple things made to look interesting. Posted by Hello

Okay, I'm running another contest. Name this object. The depth of field is real, most of the contrast was there, I simply made it monocrome and picked the tint I liked best. This should be fun. E-mail me your guesses and I'll post the winner next week (if there is a winner). What will you win you ask? How about a full resolution PSD of this image? :) Or maybe the pride of it. Oh, I know, an Oregon quarter. I have uncirculated Oregon quarters coming out my ears...you can have one. Heck, you can have one if you guess :) I'd like to know how many people actually read/view this blog :) Posted by Hello

Again, the Oregon Quarter Exchange. I guess these are in reverse order...hmm. Oh well. Posted by Hello

A nice shot of Oregon Governor Ted Kulongoski. Posted by Hello

Various dignitaries were there.... Posted by Hello

I went to the Oregon Quarter Exchange up in Portland on Wednesday. There were a LOT of people there! Posted by Hello

Hills surounding Mt. Rainier. It was cloudy and evening and the light was very cool this direction. Posted by Hello

A cake from an un-named wedding. It never did fall over. It was saved by very creative people being very careful. This angle at this particular time was quite humorous though. Posted by Hello

Hey look! It's not a senior photo!! :o) This is my very cute daughter out in an alpaca field. She really enjoyed the outing. Posted by Hello

I am really enjoying taking traditional senior poratrait poses and turning them into something a little more modern. Something a little more artistic. Let me know what you think of this one. Posted by Hello

And yet another attempt at being artistic with a senior's portrait. Posted by Hello

Okay, I know this isn't a senior photo blog, but I just had to post this one too. The dramatic lighting is because it was almost 7pm and the sun was low. I arranged her back to the sun to get the highlights on her hair and on the ivy. Then, I used a light reflector to bounce that warm light onto her face. I really like the results. I may have to have more evening photo shoots. The dramatic light is so much more interesting than shots taken mid-day. Posted by Hello

My first real attempt at a "high-key" photograph. I really like it and the family of my senior really likes it. I played around with the color temperature, exposure, contrast, and a few other things to achieve these results. I think it's a fun photo for a senior. I like the way her eyes and hair really stand out. Posted by Hello

I had another photo shoot today. It was a lot of fun, but I am very very tired now. I have been working way too much. This is my favorite photo (I think) from the shoot today. Let me know what you think! Posted by Hello

I had a senior photo shoot last night. I took her to Deepwood Estates, the Capitol, and Willamette's campus. I got a few "new" shots that I had never done for a senior before. This is one of them. I really like it because it is so different. We'll see if my senior likes it... Posted by Hello

Mmmmm good - Not quite as impressive as a tiger, but wildlife up close and personal all the same. This little guy was hanging out at Bush Park a few blocks away from work. Posted by Hello

Guest Entry - Link outside of this blog

David Nightingale is a photographer that has greatly inspired me. I look forward to new entries on his photoblog. This week I thought one of the entries was simply stunning. So, I thought I would share. I'm not going to post his photo because of copyright issues, but here is a link to the entry at his photoblog. If you like browsing other people's photos, you may want to add "chromasia" to your list of photoblogs to visit on a regular basis. Go David!

Meanwhile, on my expidition in Africa.....oh wait, that was the Tacoma zoo. Opps, my bad. Posted by Hello

Lily out back. Man is she laid back. My mom is holding her up in this picture. She doesn't sit on her own yet. Why make the effort? Posted by Hello
